Dick Whittington (Nov 2012)

Aberdeen Arts Centre

Dick Whittington tells the story of a young, hard-working lad, who travels to Old London Town to seek his fortune, accompanied by his loyal and trusty cat, Tom.

Dick is in search of good, honest work and soon encounters the very wealthy Alderman Fitzwarren, his beautiful daughter, Alice, his two cooks, Saucy Susie and Juicy Josie, Idle Jack, the Scullery Boy, and all their Pals.

Meanwhile, no one knows that the good Fairy Jubilee is keeping a caring eye on Dick. She is certain that he will prove to be the key in tackling the evil plot of the dastardly King Rat, who is planning to over-run the world with his rodent followers.

In order to achieve this rat-ruled world, King Rat has enlisted the help of the evil Captain Boathook, his cat, Cruella, and his crew, who have already organised to have Old London Town and the sunny Isle of Semoleena over-run with rats forever!

...the group ensured the audience was treated to a fun-filled show, packed with opportunities to join in hissing, booing and cheering along the way...
