Examples of some of our past work have been listed below – along with photos and videos.

Rock Challenge

Rock ChallengePhoenix Theatre’s Liz Milne and Clare Haggart are very proud to be judges for the annual Rock Challenge event.

Rock Challenge is a unique and exciting opportunity for schools to take part in a dance, drama and design spectacular where the young people are the stars. While the result is a professional event staged in some of the UK’s top venues, the main aim of the Rock Challenge is to encourage participants to have fun while enjoying a 100% drug-free experience.

Over 380 schools and 23,000 students compete in dozens of Rock Challenge and Junior Rock Challenge shows across the UK. Teams as small as 10 or as large as 140 students plan an eight-minute performance around a theme of their choice, using whatever set, props, costumes, hair and make-up, lighting, choreography, drama and soundtrack that they wish.

The judges for the Rock Challenge are drawn from the entertainment, education and performing arts industries.

Liz and Clare are consistently impressed by the standard of work shown by the students and congratulate all the teams that have taken part in their past events at Aberdeen and Arbroath.

Witness for the Prosecution (Agatha Christie Theatre Company)

Witness for the ProsecutionPhoenix Theatre was delighted to provide the actors for this UK touring production, playing members of the jury, as well as the prison guard, stenographer, barristers and solicitors. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and we made to feel very welcome by the well-known cast.

Following the success of The Hollow, The Unexpected Guest, And Then There Were None and Spider's Web, the Agatha Christie Theatre Company is proud to present the next instalment in the highly acclaimed series, Christie's undisputed masterpiece: Witness for the Prosecution.

Leading this tour de force cast is Denis Lill (star of the highly acclaimed series, The Royal), Ben Nealon (Soldier, Soldier), and Robert Duncan who played Gus Hedges in the multi-award-winning comedy Drop the Dead Donkey. Peter Byrne (Dixon of Dock Green), Elizabeth Power (Eastenders) and 60's teen idol Mark Wynter round out this all star cast.

In a world where everyone seems to be harbouring a dark secret, this gripping courtroom drama will keep you guessing until the final fatal moment.

'Undoubtedly Christie's best. A tour de force that will keep you guessing till the last second. Genius' The Gazette
