Phoenix Theatre’s corporate entertainment team performing masquerade at Skibo Castle

Phoenix's Corporate Entertainment team broke new ground yesterday, when they traveled up North to become a set of masked dancers for a glamorous 40th birthday party at Skibo Castle.

They performed excerpts from 'Phantom of the Opera' on the main staircase, before welcoming guests into the marquee, where they performed a minuet.

Our singers entertained the ballroom of guests with a medley of songs from West End shows, including Wicked, Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon and Oklahoma.

Rock Challenge 2012

Phoenix Theatre’s Liz Milne and Clare Haggart are thrilled to have been asked to be judges for Rock Challenge 2012, both at the Aberdeen event at the AECC in February and at the first ever Scottish final at the Caird Hall in Dundee in June.

Liz and Clare have been consistently impressed by the standard of work shown by the students at the past events and wish the teams for 2012 the best of luck!

'West End Experience' Charity Ball

Phoenix Theatre were proud to perform songs from the shows at the West End Experience Charity Ball, in aid of Cancer Research UK and MacMillan Cancer Support.

The event was held at the Hilton Treetops hotel and our performers made sure all of the guests had a wonderful time. Meeting and greeting everyone were the characters from 'Beauty and the Beast', who then performed 'Be Our Guest'. This was followed by a medley of songs from West End musicals and finishing with our 'Hairspray' cabaret.

Phoenix Theatre were delighted to once again perform at the MRI Stonehaven Habour Festival.

The Festival was started by the Maritime Rescue Institute to help raise awareness and funds enabling them to continue providing their world renowned service.

Our young stars entertained the crowds with our popular Alice in Wonderland cabaret as the glorious sunshine shone down on everyone.

Wet, windy and wonderful Bling Fling

It may have been a wet and windy day for a walk, but Phoenix Theatre on hand to help out in any way at this year's Bling Fling event at Duthie Park.

In what has become an annual tradition, hundreds of North-East women set out to walk and raise money for cancer charities. Once again, our cast members were delighted to assist in any way they could.

We rounded off the day with performances from our Hairspray cabaret, some hit West End songs and a dazzling burlesque-themed dance from our Vegas dancers.

Katie makes an appearance on BBC Three's 'Hotter than my Daughter'

Katie Milne helped out the girls at Coco Violet in September - filming for BBC 3's 'Hotter than my Daughter'. Liz McClarnon (ex-Atomic Kitten) seemed to like her outfit and said on Twitter: "doing a Jury scene in a cool shop in Aberdeen and I found my alter ego! 'Sandra D' pre Grease make over & 'Sandy' x"

Jonnie 'goes postal' in Budapest

Phoenix Theatre’s Jonnie Milne in Going Postal

A two-part television adaptation of Terry Pratchett's novel, Going Postal, was broadcast on Sky One earlier this week. It was the third in a series of Terry Pratchett adaptations by Sky One, following The Hogfather and The Colour of Magic.

Phoenix Theatre's Jonnie Milne was lucky enough to be chosen to be an extra and spent a very hot day in August filming in Budapest (as well as meeting Richard Coyle, David Suchet, Andrew Sachs and Tamsin Greig).
