Phoenix Theatre
Phoenix Theatre is a critically-acclaimed amateur theatre company based in Aberdeen, Scotland. We were established in 1990 by Liz Milne BEM and Clare Haggart BEM. Our Musical Director is Kevin Haggart, while choreography is provided by Katie Baxter.
We perform professional-standard musicals, pantos and concerts at venues, such as His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen Arts Centre and the Aberdeen Music Hall.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming company – free from cliques and divas – where many lifelong friendships are formed as part of the Phoenix Family.
There are no membership fees, costume or script hire charges. All we ask is that you sell a quota of tickets for each show and that you are nice!
Our main rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons between 2-5pm at Devana Parish Church. We also rehearse, especially as we get nearer to the week of the show, on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7-10pm.
We hold auditions to join our company once a year, in late-Summer, and if you are interested you can contact us today.
If you want to see what it’s like to take part in our fun-filled rehearsal process - complete with a few bloopers - check out our ‘behind the scenes’ videos page below.
