Snow White (November 2022)

Aberdeen Arts Centre

Our pantomime tells the story of the beautiful Princess Snow White. When she was still quite small, her father, the King, made the terrible mistake of marrying again and his second wife turned out to be very wicked indeed! On the sad death of Snow White’s father, her Stepmother showed her true colours and sent Snow White away to school. With Snow White out of the way, she began her wicked rule of the, once happy, Kingdom.

As our pantomime opens, there is much excitement indeed as it is the day when Snow White is due to return. Her friends, Tiny, Aggie, Ruby and all of the merry villagers can’t wait to see her again. Afraid that Snow White might spoil her wicked plans, her Stepmother turns to the evil wizard, Elvish, for help.

Meanwhile, Snow White has met and fallen in love with the dashing and handsome Prince Rupert. He has fallen in love with her too, but the path of true love never does run smooth! Luckily, all of Snow White’s friends, including her loyal puss, Snowflake, and Belinda, the Good Witch of the North-East, are all on hand to look after her. Will good triumph after all?

...Snow White – from the combined talents of Phoenix Theatre and Phoenix Youth Theatre – is a rousing old-school traditional pantomime that is as warm and comforting as a hug on Christmas morning...
