With equal measures of pluck and positivity, the gritty red-headed orphan is determined to find her parents. Escaping from the orphanage and the clutches of the dreadful Miss Hannigan, Annie discovers the wondrous world of NYC and her adventures begin. On the way, she befriends the lovable dog, Sandy, meets the residents of a Hooverville and wins the hearts of billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his household and his assistant, Grace Farrell. With the help of President Roosevelt, his Cabinet and the FBI, a happy ending seems assured until Miss Hannigan’s ne’er-do-well brother, Rooster and his girlfriend, Lily St Regis, show up, with a dastardly plot in mind.
